I was fortunate to be born and raised in Monterey, California where I have continued to live all of my adult life. It has been a wonderful place to work and play. I have built wonderful friendships that enriched my life as well as my daughter's.
I have one daughter who is now 19 years old. She was bitten by the musical theater bug at the age of 5. Since then she has performed in at least two musicals a year for the last ten years with me helping backstage as well as occasionally onstage. I have learned every aspect of theater life during this journey. I have helped with production, sets, costumes, lighting as well as backstage crew. It is amazing to see what actually goes into a production.
I am active in fund raising for our local professional theater. It is a pleasure to support the arts and to give back to the theater that has brought so much to my daughter's life as well as my own.
After graduating from Chapman University I pursued my passion for teaching. I have taught kindergarten on the Monterey Peninsula for the last 30 years and have loved every moment of it. It is true; we learn everything we need to know in kindergarten. The innocence of a five year old still lies within each of us.
