About Corrina
Born into a Scottish household in Wimbledon, England, I have lived in the Bay Area for almost two decades, deliciously wed to Ryan, my New York Italian-American sweetheart. The rich tapestry of relationships I have with extended family and friends is a source of great joy to me. My daughters joked way back that if ever they had children, they would call me 'grelf' for grandmother-elf. Well, they both did, and it happened (talk about create your own reality!). I feel like I'm watching the evolution of the species in my daughters, now add to that my grandchildren; the feeling is effervescent.
Ben Franklin said "We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing." Early stories about me are that I played at creating worlds for hours on end so it's not surprising to see that happy thread run through from there to here. I helped to start the PlaNetweavers Treasure Store in San Francisco (check it out!), which was as delightful to me as my first ever job in Wimbledon Village.
Fresh out of school, I worked in 'John Dobbie's', a toy shop there, that specialized in exquisite hand-crafted Scandinavian toys. Playing with these toys was the best fun. I got into making incredibly elaborate window displays, which reveries were encouraged since the scenes drew people into our wonderland. Not hard to see then why I went on to work with Save the Children Fund, providing therapeutic play for children in hospital for many years.
